Before we know it, Lent will begin on Feb. 26, and then on April 6, we will hold our Good Friday service in remembrance of the death Christ suffered. But on April 8 we have the privilege of celebrating the resurrection of our Lord at Easter. Mark your calendars for these most important of days in the church calendar.
While Baptism is a sacrament that can be celebrated anytime during the church year, it has been a tradition of the church since its beginnings to baptize on Easter. This has been a tradition at HIC, too. If there is anyone who desires to receive baptism this Easter (or anytime!), or anyone who would like more information about what baptism is and what it means, please contact J.P. at jpcima@hicvn.org.
The Ba Dinh Bible study will meet this Sunday evening at 7:30pm. All are welcome to join!
The group meets at the Swedish Camp (near the Swedish embassy at Nui Truc and Kim Ma). This week they continue studying the book of Acts.

HIC West Lake Bible study group is meeting this coming Sunday (19 Feb), immediately after the service at Vincent and Yuri’s house (Villa 2A, 2 Tay Ho street). We will be discussing the Bible readings and homily of the morning. Lunch will be provided. Anyone curious or interested is welcome to join us!

HIC is thus looking for a creative and motivated Hanoi-based volunteer who understands the identity of HIC to take on the administration and development of our website. We need someone who can not only work with what is there, but also push the website into greater functionality according to the needs of a growing and thriving HIC. Candidates will need to be skilled in the WordPress platform and PHP.

Opportunities exist in areas of preaching/testimonial, service leading, music, Sunday school, and many others. Do you have an announcement or prayer request you would like sent to the HIC community? Head over to the HIC website where you can submit announcements and prayer requests. Submissions will be screened before being posted on the website and sent to the whole community. Once approved, your submission will appear on the website immediately. ”HIC Announcements” and “Local Events and Volunteer Opps” emails are sent weekly on Friday mornings. ”Prayer Requests” emails are sent daily when there are new posts.
